I just want to pay a tribute to my friend, Stacy. She just had her first day on the job here on Labor & Delivery as a brand new RN. I am so proud of her for everything she has been able to accomplish over the past several years!! This was not an easy road for her and I want her to know how much I love and admire her strength, wisdom and perseverence.
Stacy was one of the first people I ever met at this hospital. We both started on the maternity floor and later transferred to L&D. Stacy has been an amazing example to me and others who know her. She has worked at this hospital for 12 years as a HCA full-time and has been going to nursing school simultaneously over the past several years. She has been through so many hurdles including some very intense family issues while persuing her dream of becoming a nurse. How could any one person endure so many trials and challenges for so many years? For anyone who knows Stacy, it is no surprise that she was able to accomplish her dreams and more. When most of us would have thrown in the towel a long time ago, her strength of character and spirit were never broken by these difficulties. She is one tough cookie, and she looks great in her nursing uniform (pictured above).
Luv yer guts and yer bones Stace. Your mom is so proud of you!! So is Judy's Son!! Stacy's Mom has got it goin' on!! F-U Sniklew!!
First day jitters are so cute!!

Who can resist a beautiful sleeping baby? I love my babies when they're sleeping; they can do no wrong and they look so absolutely innocent and peaceful.

Yahoo! I finally won something in my life. I won this awesome chocolate basket from my work for nurses week. It came at just the right time; who doesn't need a ton of chocolate on their way home from a grueling night shift? Thanks to whoever drew my name!!

We're getting ready to head off to the "Big Apple!" Any last words of advice or recommendations on any "must do's" while we're there? We're looking forward to all the sights, sounds, (not the smells), and just the general hub-bub of the city. Can't wait to see the naked cowboy on Times Square!!
